However, there are some downsides. Firstly, synthetic loft is less compressible than down, so we expect this will take up more room in a backpack. What’s more, synthetic loft degrades fast than down, so it might have a slightly shorter lifespan. It’s also heavier. At 38 oz, this is definitely not an ultralight sleeping bag.
