Construction, Fit, Features
There’s nothing fancy going on with the Outdoor Voices PrimoFleece Relaxed Fit Jacket. It’s pretty much what you think it would be when you look at the photos – a big heavy fleece that’s warmer and comfier than average. Perfect autumnal wear and sustainable to boot. It’s constructed with 100% recycled polyester, according to the tag. Thanks, Outdoor Voices!
But definitely worth calling out is the boxy fit, which is on trend for contemporary jacket tastes. It has a shorter than average center back length, and wider than average torso. If that’s what you’re into, this one is definitely appealing!
When it comes to assessing and reviewing non-technical products, we are much more lenient than with hardcore adventure gear. And as the PrimoFleece is designed for use in the front country, we have very little to complain about. However, if there’s one thing that we think could be better, it’s the hand pockets. The zippered opening is smaller than average, causing the teeth to brush against your hand causing light scrapeage with every use. What’s more, the way they round out on the front makes the smaller in volume than they need to be. Once you’re hands are inside, they’re nice. But the low volume makes it harder to store other objects inside.
We end this portion with compliment on the zipper, which feels high quality and easy to use.
